Student admission will be made to Master's with Thesis and Doctoral programmes of below stated departments of Education Sciences Institute, Natural and Applied Sciences Institute and Social Sciences Institute for the Academic Year 2017-2018 Spring Semester. Candidates have to apply online between the dates of December the 18th and the 25th, 2017 at http://ubys.bartin.edu.tr/ by clicking MENU APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND INSTITUTE APPLICATION. Students have to fill out required forms and upload necessary documents.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

A-      Application Conditions to Master's with Thesis Programme (Turkish Nationals)

1. a)Having a bachelor’s degree
2. b)Diploma equivalency certificate for diplomas received from abroad must be approved by the Higher Education Council
3. c)Having scored at least 55 standard points in Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam. [Instead of Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam results, equivalent international exams results announced by the Higher Education Council can be accepted by Institute Management Council. Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam results are valid for 5 years.]
4. d)Having Foreign Language Exam, Higher Education Council Language Exam or equivalent exam certificate, if any
5. e)Having the necessary graduation qualifications.

B-      Application Conditions to Master's with Thesis Programme (Foreign Nationals)

1. a)Having a bachelor’s degree
2. b)Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam made by Student Selection and Placemet Center is not required.
3. c)Turkish language is not required by foreing nationals’ applications. According to Article 8 of Bartın University Postgraduate Education and Training Regulation, successful candiates, who have Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate will be registered. Students, who do not have Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate will be given at most two semesters preparation time. This period does not count as education period. Students, who do not have a Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate will be dismissed from the university at the end of the preparation period.
4. d)Having the necessary graduation qualifications.

C-      Application Conditions to Doctoral Programmes (Turkish Nationals and Foreign Nationals)

1. a)Having a master with thesis diploma, (Students, who are registered in a master's with thesis programme or who are graduated from master with thesis programmes before 06/02/2013 can apply to doctoral programmes)
2. b)The equivalency of postgraduate diploma received from abroad must be approved by the Higher Education Concil, (For foreing nationals this is not required)
3. c)Having at least a score of 55 points in foreign language exams which are accepted by Higher Education Council except their mother language, or having an equivalent score in international foreign language exams, which are accepted as equivalent by the Students Selection and Placement Center. (Foreign Language Exam results are valid for 5 years.)
4. d)Having a score of at least 55 points in Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam. [Instead of Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam results, equivalent international exams results announced by the Higher Education Council can be accepted by Institute Management Council. Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam results are valid for 5 years.]
5. e)Certificating that they have been successful at any Turkish Course, which is approved by the Higher Education Council, (For Foreign Nationals)
6. f)Turkish language certificate is not required for foreign students, who apply to doctoral programmes, and who can certificate that they have completed their graduate or postraduate education at a university, where they studied in Turkish language. (For Foreign Nationals)
7. g)Having the necessary graduation qualifications.

D-     Assessment and Student Admission (For Turkish and Foreign Nationals)

1. a)Pass Mark for Admission to Master with Thesis Programme (For Turkish Nationals); 50% of Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam, 20% of general graduate grade point average, 20% of Science Exam, 10% of Foreign Language Exam, Higher Education Council Language Exam or an equivalent foreign language exam, if any. If science exam is made both written and verbally, the assessment will be made with 15% of written exam and 5% of verbal exam. (Candidates who do not have a foreign language exam result will receive 0 points for 10%) In the assessment, candidates who score at least 60 out of 100 points will be ranged according to their scores and they will be accepted to master with thesis programmes.
2. b)Pass Mark for Admission to Doctoral Programme (For Turkish Natioanls); 50% of Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam, 20% of Science Exam, 20% of master grade point average and 10% of Foreign Language Exam, Higher Education Council Language Exam or an equivalent foreign language exam, if any. In the assessment, candidates who score at least 70 out of 100 points will be ranged according to their scores and will be accepted to doctoral programmes.
3. c)Pass Mark for Admission to Master with Thesis and Doctoral Programmes (For Foreign Nationals); 40% of general graduate grade point average, 40% of science exam, 20% of Foreign Language Exam, Higher Education Council Language Exam or an equivalent foreign language exam, if any. If science exam is made both written and verbally, the assessment will be made with 30% of written exam and 10% of verbal exam. In the assessment, candidates who score at least 50 out of 100 points will be ranged according to their scores and will be accepted to master with thesis programmes.
4. d)Science exam result, foreign language exam result and Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam result will be taken into considiration, if candidates’ scores are equal in the admission of postgraduate programmes.

E-      Science Exam

Candidates have to pass the science exam. The science exam will be made on the day and in the place stated below. Candidates have to bring special identity card (ID,driving licence or passport) and exam entrance document, which they will receive from the system after their applications is approved by the Institute.

G-     Necessary Documents for Final Registration

1. a)Online Application document (Signed by candidate student)
2. b)Original bachelor’s degree diploma and a copy of it from students, who apply to master degree programmes, original bachelor’s degree diploma and postgraduate diploma and a copy of these from students, who apply to doctoral programmes. (Documents received from e-state system will not be accepted.)
3. c)Original bachelor’s degree transcript and a copy of it from students, who apply to master degree programmes, original bachelor’s degree transcript and postgraduate transcript and a copy of these from students, who apply to doctoral programmes.
4. d)Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam Result (Exam results are valid for last 5 years)
5. e)Foreing Language Exam Results, Higher Education Council Language Exam Results or exams’ results, which are accepted as equivalent by the Council of Universities(Language exam results are taken into consideration by master with thesis programmes, even if the language exam results are low.) (For doctoral programmes foreign language exam results are valid for last 5 years)
6. f)Certificate, showing that students are successful of a Turkish Language Course, given by institutions, which are accepted as valid by the Higher Education Council (For Foreign Nationals)
7. g)Copy of Identity Card (Identity Card or Identity Certificate), which is approved by the Institute,
8. h)2 passport photos (4,5x6 cm, and taken in the last six months)
9. i)Original military service certificate from male students to postpone military service (this document must be taken in the last three months)

NOTE:

1. Candidates have to take part in the science exam.
2. Candidates have to do final registration on their own. Candidates, who cannot come for excusing reasons, can give a power of attorney by notary to someone else and let their registration made by this person.
3. Scientific preparation programme can be made for students, who are accepted to master with thesis and doctoral programmes and who made their bachelor’s degree and master degree in other programmes, which are different from those programmes they are accepted to.
4. If one of the documents is missing, applications will not be accepted and final registration cannot be done.
5. If application information are false declared, students cannot make the final registration.
6. Science exam results of master with thesis and doctoral programme students will be announced on December the 29th, 2017.
7. Students who gained the right to do the final registration have to registry between January the 02nd and the 08th; substitute students have to registry between January the 09th and the 10th, 2018.

1. A) Conditions For Master’s Without Thesis Programmes
2. a)Students who have a Bachelor’s Degree can apply (Bachelor’s degree diplomas taken from abroad must be approved by the Higher Education Council).

(NOTE: For master’s without thesis programmes, bachelor’s degree grade point avarage, Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam Results and foreign language exam results are not taken into consideration.)

1. b)Having the graduation qualifications, which are stated under conditions.

Student admission for distance learning master’s without thesis is made according to the bachelor’s degree grade point average of candidates and according to quota.
