Diploma Equivalence

Certificate of Equivalence of Diploma
During registration, our international students must submit the Certificate of Equivalence of Diploma to be obtained from the Ministry of National Education or any Turkish Representation in their own country, which shows that their high school diploma is equivalent. They may apply from the e-equivalence module (https://edenklik.meb.gov.tr/) to obtain the equivalence certificate from the Ministry of National Education.

e-Equivalence Module: It is the system in which the equivalence transactions are carried out electronically and the information is kept.

The graduates from the following schools can apply for the Certificate of Equivalence:

• Any international private schools or schools opened by Turkish Embassies at primary and secondary education levels,
• Any schools either in Turkey or abroad at primary and secondary education levels

Documents Required for Application:

1. Turkish translations of the documents approved by the Notary or Foreign Representatives of the Republic of Turkey
2. Certificate of Graduation: This certificated shall be apostilled. If not, the documents showing the right to receive diploma or any other equivalent document approved by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Embassy shall be uploaded to the system in a way that the approval/seal is visible. Or else, the equivalence process will be canceled at the time of application.
3. The original and certified translation of their parents' identity passport or parental consent: It is required only for those under the age of 18, who will enroll at the university)
4. The marriage certificate and/or the birth registration: If there is a change of surname in the education certificate and/or passport (ID card) for such reasons as marriage, or divorce, etc., such documents shall be uploaded
